Few years ago (in 2004, as I recall...) I had some stuff written for a literature contest; theme: vampires in some city. I studied some myths, watched some movies and started to work...

...after I had had finished my writing, I felt extreme craving for painting the main character. Well... at least one of them.))

The idea was to portray some dreamy, but a bit predatory person, which would look SLIGHTLY UNNATURAL. A little paler skin, a little brighter eyes, a little weirder hair style...

In 2004, I had been completely dissatisfied with my results. The lady had looked like some bloody Kate Beckinsale with awful face anatomy =^^= So few days ago I decided to re-paint some of her features...

...and now I see it was for the better.
Although the colours in the scanned version are TOO bright.)
For now, I can only hope, that you like the finished painting.)))

P.S.:
Now I can see that my first attempts of painting swirly thingies (hair, earrings...) and operating with purple shades are more than five years old.))
