Artist's Comments
Some time ago I heard very interesting saying in German: "Jeder hat seinen Vogel im Kopf". This is usually said, when a person has some strange thoughts or motivations, and can be translated, like this: "Everyone has his own bird in the head" (actually, in Russia we say, that everyone has cockroaches in the head)). The whole saying aroused too much associations - and so, I've spent nearly half of yesterday night, painting this.
I guess, this is a little dark, a little thoughtful, yet I must confess, I like the result. So please - if you want to copy this picture, ask for permission - for it hurts, when I see my works, as someone's blog background.  Materials watercolours, white tempera, rough paper.  And if you need stock photos, *Stock-Library is a great resource for finding all kinds of stock  -- Duh duh duh duh duh duh duuuuuuuh! I made your sweater stripey!  i love the brush strokes around the top of his head, they make him seem very creative.
